I WAS THE WINNER OF JACLYN HILL'S GIVEAWAY

You know when people say " Everything Happens For A Reason"? Well, this was one of those moments. I started my youtube channel not knowing what to expect and to be honest I was discouraged at the beginning. My channel wasn't growing, I was losing hope and inspiration. I don't think people realize how hard it is to film, when mentally and emotionally my heart wasn't fully in it. The viewers can pick up your vibes even if you're *pretending* to be *happy*.

As you can already tell, I have a passion for makeup. But I was extremely insecure, I was afraid that my skills weren't up to par. So I did everything else on my channel besides anything makeup related ( entertainment, challenges, random videos ). My youtube channel wasn't growing at all, I lost all hope for it.

I told myself this wasn't for me even though all my family and friends told me that I was made for youtube and making videos. I took a huge break from it and decided to delete my channel.

Now for the juicy part of the story. Right before I was about to delete my channel I had signed up for a giveaway that Jaclyn Hill was hosting prior. Not thinking any of it, I received a private direct message on Instagram.

*Relives the moment and starts screaming again*

But seriously, who would of ever thought I would win this? Thousands of people took part in this and I was chosen? Isn't it weird that I was about to delete my channel and then this happens? This meant more than just winning a bunch of lipsticks. It was a sign for me to follow my heart and my passion to not be afraid to show it to the world. In all honesty, if it wasn't for this I don't think I would have gotten up to this point and started my blog.

Jaclyn Hill was one of the first influencers that I looked up to, and now that she has given me a little bit of hope & a push ( without realizing ) it means a lot. The world works in mysterious ways. I'm not saying you need a miracle to make things happen but it's just a reminder to follow your heart and do what makes you happy. Everything else will come into place if you keep working hard at it. Thanks to my support system and Jaclyn Hill you are the highlighting queen but I'm convinced you're a makeup fairy god mother to me.
