I have a little confession... I'm obsessed with editing my pictures. It's gotten to the point where I ask my friends if I can edit their pictures for the fun of it. It easily became a hobby and a good distraction. I can edit for hours and never get bored of it. With that being said, I've gone through so many editing apps and I've narrowed down my favourite editing apps for Instagram, in no particular order!

VSCO

It is known for their wide range of filters which makes the whole experience easier for beginners.

The most popular filters are HB1 & HB2. It transforms the picture into a cooling setting, gives a nice blue tint which goes well with white backgrounds , dark shades and pink tones.

The second popular one is C1, C2 and C3. If you want your pic to be saturated and bright this ones for you. This is for the vibrant theme lovers.

INSTAGRAM

Believe it or not Instagram has some really good filters and it's also convenient for those who aren't into editing as much but still want to tweak it up.

I use the filter "Aden" during the fall time because it makes the whole setting warm and cozy looking. It compliments well with the warm tones.

Instagram is also known for their brightness option. I always use this when I want my photo to be brighter and clearer.

FACETUNE

This is an editing app mainly used for the face or should I say "selfies". I think every single social media influencer uses this. It is known for their retouching tools.

I personally use the smoothing tool to smoothen out any imperfections. And then I use the "whitening" tool to brighten and whiten up any dark area.

HUJI

If you want to amp up your photos making it look more vintage and cool this one's for you. Huji is known for the 1998 filter effect making your pics look vibrant with a little flare. This filter will bring out the creativeness making the photo look eye catching for the viewers.

AFTERLIGHT

This app is similar to VSCO in terms of having a variety of filters and different settings. But I personally use this app for one particular effect. I noticed Kim Kardashian's been using this in her pictures, she does this dusty cast over it and it transforms the whole entire picture. The filter is " DUST" there's certain levels of it but I'm obsessed when I want my picture to look grainy with a hint of desert essence.

KIRAKIRA+

If you ever wondered how some peoples snaps are so glittery and illuminating, this is the app that they use! It is the most effective if you have a reflective object or clothing. It works best on Jewelry, Fairy Lights, Sequence Dresses etc! 100% recommend if you love a little glitter in your life.
